My name is Christine Ellison I am a fully qualified experienced social worker, working in children and families social work.
Social Work
I have worked as a front line social work practitioner this included work within residential children homes, supporting families to include parenting work, Child Protection Duty work, Out of Hours Duty Work and Court Work. I have been trained by the police in Achieving Best Evidence video interviews, and CEOP assessing and managing sex-offenders. My experience also includes work with children with complex health and learning difficulties. I have also worked as a senior social worker and team manager with responsibility for the management and supervision of staff.
Local Safeguarding Children Board
I have worked as the business manager for the LSCB resolving multi-agency issues against the LSCB business plan advising on safeguarding policy and procedures and multi-agency safeguarding training.
I had the statutory role as Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) with the strategic oversight of managing allegations against staff. Working at operational and strategic level across multi- agency settings to include the private and voluntary sector
Social Work Education and Training
I current work as an off-site practice educator and tutor and I am passionate about social work and improving standards and support for social work staff, especially those with responsibility for safeguarding and staff working across a range of settings. I have a strong commitment to social justice and support for those working most vulnerable and marginalised groups in society.

I have experience in completing independent safeguarding audits and investigations. This includes advice on policy and procedures related to safeguarding and safer recruitment. I can offer bespoke packages of training to include lesson learned from Serious Case Reviews.
Rugby Football League
I work as an independent social worker linked to the rugby football league offering support to players with life-style family related issues. I have also deliver Time to Listen Training for the RFL as an approved NSPPC trainer.
